Almaz-Antey has unveiled the new Sokol during the Fleet 2026 exhibition. The system is designed to detect and track up to 50 unmanned aerial systems simultaneously, strengthening capabilities against the growing drone threat.
The Sokol radar can detect FPV drones at ranges of up to 2 kilometres and fixed-wing unmanned aircraft at distances of up to 5 kilometres. In addition to aerial targets, it is capable of tracking ground and surface objects, providing enhanced situational awareness across multiple operational domains.
The system also allows multiple radars to be linked into a unified network capable of monitoring hundreds of targets simultaneously, significantly improving early warning capabilities. Compact, portable, and operable using a standard power supply, the Sokol offers a practical and cost-effective solution for countering increasingly sophisticated drone threats.
